I’ve long been drawn to depictions of Christ and the cross, but I had never seen artwork that captured the literal moment of the Eleventh Station - ‘Jesus nailed to the cross’.The seed of a print was in my mind when I chanced upon the Église Saint-Paul -Saint Louis church in the Marais district of Paris and saw a beautiful painting of exactly what I had in mind. Back in London I immediately set to work on this print. My aim was to document the raw painful power of the scene without sensationalising it.

Billy’s Topless was a ‘Go-Go’ bar in NYC back in the day. We went ‘cause it was a great bar, and other obvious reasons. I’m not proud of it now, nor would go again. I’m contemplating things in my past and some of those things are bound to end up as prints.
